CHIANTI EXPERIENCE
Departure from the hotel by bus and guide, after about 1 hour 30 minutes we will reach the wonderful Chianti area. Few landscapes in the world are as picturesque as the Chianti area, which offers unique scenarios where the panorama of green hills, vineyards and olive groves, narrow villages between large medieval walls, winding roads, castles and fortresses will accompany you for the whole day.
The Chianti called “Classico” extends between Florence and Siena and includes the municipalities of Greve, Panzano, Gaiole, Radda, Castellina and Castelnuovo Berardenga in their entirety.
The sinuous and picturesque hills that stretch between the provinces of Florence, Siena and Arezzo are home to the renowned Chianti area that gives its name to the famous Tuscan wine known and appreciated all over the world.
Probably the origin of the name Chianti comes from the Etruscan word “clante”, meaning water, which appears to have been found in large quantities in this area since ancient times.
The tour begins with a visit to a wonderful Castle set amongst the green hills. After the tour we will do some wine tasting of this Tuscan area starting with a visit to the historic cellar located inside the castle once belonged to a family that gave birth to a notorious figure.
The wine tasting will be a magical moment, where the tourist will have the pleasure of savoring the delights of the earth, understanding the history of the castle and where the name of this precious wine originates, we will then continue to the ancient vinsantaia.
A taste of balsamic vinegar produced by the company, and a taste of Tuscan extra virgin olive oil used for the traditional Tuscan fettunta, together with typical Chianti cold cuts will delight your journey.
In the early afternoon we will continue to Panzano in Chianti,
Panzano in Chianti is an enchanting Tuscan village located on the top of a hill in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. In fact, Panzano is located exactly halfway between Florence and Siena in the province of Florence, making it an ideal location for your holidays in Tuscany.
